You can return a cookbook you received in the mail by following this link and filling out and printing your pre-paid return label here. Please make sure to hang on to the bottom half of the printed return label so you can track your package. If you want to be removed from receiving future shipments of preview cookbooks, you can log in to your bookstore account. Once you’re logged in, scroll down the “Series Information,” and cancel your enrollment.

You can return your unmarked and undamaged cookbook or DVD order by filling out and printing our pre-paid return label here. If you have any trouble printing the return label, simply give us a call at 1-800-611-0759 and we’ll be happy to help you. Please make sure to include the packing slip from your order, or some other clear identification of the customer (name and complete mailing address, or account number) to make sure your account is properly credited. You can hang on to the bottom half of your return label to track your returned package. Returns must be from purchases no more than a year old, and bought directly from America’s Test Kitchen.

We don’t include nutritional information in every cookbook we create. At America’s Test Kitchen, we’ve always had one goal: to make great tasting food. However, we also know that staying healthy is important to our fans! Some of our cookbooks, like Comfort Food Makeovers, The Healthy Family Cookbook, and The Best Light Recipes include varying levels of nutritional detail with each recipe, to help you make the eating choices that are right for you. It sounds like the recipe you’re tying to view may not be included in your membership, which is why it would have a symbol of a lock and ask you to upgrade when trying to view it.
You can always update your search options on the results page. On the left side, you'll see a box labeled "Results From" and four different options. Make sure that only your membership is checked, and you should have no trouble accessing those results.

You can save a recipe or article by using our new Favorites feature. Favorites are designed to let you bookmark and organize your favorite recipes into categories and menus. You can select "Add to Favorites" to bookmark any page, and you can click on "Favorites" at any time to refer back to your favorite recipes. If you’d rather save a recipe or article to your computer's hard drive, choose “File,” then “Save” on your Web browser menu bar.
To turn on closed captioning, simply hold your cursor over the video until you see a small CC button. Click this button and select “English” to turn on closed captioning.
If you’re sure you’re on the right website, try these tips:
1. Our usernames and passwords are case sensitive. Make sure you’re entering your email and password the same way you did when you set up the account.
2. Make sure there are no spaces before your email address or password.
3. If your computer stores and populates your username and password automatically, try erasing this information from the login screen and entering your information manually. You will know that your computer has populated your password for you if you see dots or asterisks (****) in the password field.
4. Make sure you have cookies enabled.
5. If you have antivirus or firewall software, make sure that we are listed as a "safe site."
6. Check the clock on your computer. If it’s not accurate, our website might not work properly.

You will not have to pay again for a digital issue you already purchased as long as you use the same Apple ID that you bought it with. After launching our iPad app, go to the "Newstand" and select the Cook's Illustrated Digital Magazine app, click on the wheel icon in the upper righthand corner of the app and choose “Restore All Purchases.”
Accessing Cook's Illustrated magazine digitally is similar to the print magazine, but with many enhancements. The digital version of the magazine will have videos to accompany every master recipe, as well as specially designed slide shows to illustrate step-by-step procedures in ensuring your recipe comes out right.
Cook's Illustrated and Cook's Country magazine iPad Apps can be downloaded via the Apple iTunes store. Your digital subscription is entirely managed within your Apple iTunes account.
The Nook: To get Cook's Illustrated magazine on your Nook, go to the Nook store and, using your Nook account, follow the simple directions to either start your free trial subscription or to place an order for a single issue of the magazine.

When we publish a recipe, we test again and again to make sure that the ingredients, the texture, the cook time, and countless other factors all come together seamlessly to create a recipe that is as close to perfect as we can get it. We don’t recommend making any changes to our recipes, simply because once the recipe is altered, we can’t promise that it will give you the perfect results we know you’re looking for. Our interactive online cooking tools help teach cooking concepts and test students' understanding of these concepts.
Courses and lessons vary in duration, and you can spend as much or as little time as you’d like with a course. There is no set schedule, and no limit to how many courses students can take at any time. Simply log in when it is convenient for you, day or night, and take your course!

Cooking Basics help students gain confidence in the kitchen and achieve greater success with recipes by reviewing topics like food safety, stocking your pantry, and how to measure ingredients.
Technique Lessons, like Mexican Classics, Hearty Grains, and Best Chicken Soups are single-subject lessons that offer a focused experience for a student with a specific passion or interest. Students spend anywhere from four to five hours on each section of the lesson, including cooking time.
Recipe Lessons explain how the recipe works, warn you about potential missteps, and show you the entire process—from the first prep step to serving. Depending on the lesson you choose, recipes can take anywhere from 30 minutes to five hours to prepare and cook from start to finish.
